Lady Shoplifter Attempted to Steal Expensive Milk in Isabela Department Store
Local authorities arrested a lady shoplifter after he attempted to steal expensive canned milk in a department store in Isabela.
Daisy Manalo, 21, a young woman from Barangay Bunuan, Dagupan Pangasinan, was named as the suspect in a report given by PCapt. Angelo Pagulayan, chief of the Aurora Police Station to PCol. James Melad Cipriano, Provincial Director of the Isabela Police Provincial Office or IPPO.
The department store’s security guards, Jomar Subong and Mariano Doca spotted Manalo being strangely restless in the infant needs section. When Manalo exited the department store, she bolted, so she drew the two security guards’ attention to herself.
They pursued her as a result. She was apprehended carrying five cans of premium milk worth Php 8,497.50 after the chase. When questioned if she had a receipt from the department store for the stolen milk, Manalo said she didn’t have any, so he was detained and sent to the police station.
Meanwhile, three persons were caught in Malabon City after stealing a set of scaffolding, one of whom was a kid. According to the allegation, the suspects stole a set of scaffolding valued at P11,000 from the victim’s unoccupied land.
The suspects then hopped on a tricycle and loaded their stolen goods, but as they were about to depart, the victim recognized them and promptly sought assistance from the Niugan barangay tanods. The perpetrators were apprehended and a set of scaffolding was retrieved during a follow-up operation by barangay tanods with the assistance of the Malabon Police Sub-Station.
