GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija — A 23-year-old man was jailed on Sunday after he allegedly extorted money from a woman who accidentally sent him her nude pictures, police said.

Investigators identified the suspect as Darrel Agustin, a resident of Barangay Casongsong in this town.

Police carried out an entrapment operation to arrest Agustin based on the victim’s complaint.

The woman was supposed to send the photograph to another person but “inadvertently” sent it to the suspect’s Facebook Messenger, police said.

Investigation showed that the suspect threatened to post her nude photos online should she fail to give him P10,000. They agreed on P4,000 instead.

But despite receiving the amount, the suspect reportedly did not delete the pictures and continued to demand cash amounting to P10,000, forcing the woman to seek help from the police.

Charges of robbery with intimidation were filed against Agustin before the provincial prosecutor’s office in Cabanatuan City, police said. INQ
