Motorcyclist dead in Batangas road accident
LUCENA CITY—A motorcyclist died after he collided with a van in San Pascual town in Batangas province early Tuesday.
A police report said Arnel Tejada, 38, was traversing the national road in the town proper when he collided around 2:30 a.m. with a Toyota Grandia van driven by Joven Andaya.
Tejada suffered grave injuries after being thrown off when he lost control of his motorcycle and landed on the pavement.
The report said Tejada was taken to the Saint Pascal de Baylon Hospital but did not state if he died along the way or expired while undergoing treatment.

The report also did not state whether or not the fatality was wearing a crash helmet.
Andaya was arrested and is facing criminal charges.
