COVID-19 disrupts work in Zambales town hall

COVID-19 infects 5,257 more; PH active cases now at 53,132

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– Work at the municipal treasurer’s office in the capital town of Iba was suspended since Wednesday, June 9, after some of its workers tested positive for COVID-19.

At least eight workers at the treasurer’s office were infected with COVID-19 based on the latest health data.

The infection forced other offices in the municipal hall to suspend work but was already allowed to immediately resume operations.

The province now reported a total of 2,890 cases since the pandemic broke out last year.

At least 706 of these remain active, while 2,123 had recovered and 60 had died from the disease. INQ
