The city has been struggling with its increasing COVID-19 deaths in the last two weeks, recording at least one fatality almost every day.

Paulino said new infections also continued to rise as more households and workplaces suffer an outbreak of the virus.

Among the latest to contract COVID-19 are residents aged 20-73.

To date, the city listed 2,154 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started last year. At least 1,740 of them had recovered from the disease.
