PNP logs 146 new cases of COVID-19; total active infections at 1,796

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported and recorded 146 new COVID-19 cases among its ranks on Sunday, bringing total infections in the country’s police force to 24,834.

The PNP has a total of 1,796 active cases 22,970 recoveries (83 new recoveries), as of June 6, according to its daily COVID-19 tally released on its Facebook page.

 No new deaths were reported, keeping the death toll at 68.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health said that the entire country has logged a totalof 1,262,273 COVID-19 cases as of Saturday afternoon.

This number includes 59,543 active cases, 1,180,998 recoveries and 21,732 deaths.
