NPA leader arrested in Masbate
LEGAZPI CITY – A high ranking official of the New People’s Army (NPA) was arrested in Pio V. Corpus, Masbate on Saturday morning.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Morgan Aguilar, chief of the Public Information Office of the Bicol regional police, said in a report that the rebel leader, identified as Narciso Hao, 39, was arrested in Barangay Alegria at around 6:30 a.m.
The arrest warrant was issued on July 16, 2020 by Judge Igmedio Emilio Camposano of the Regional Trial Court Branch 49 in Cataingan town for violation of Republic Act 9851 or the Philippine Act on Crimes Against International Humanitarian Law, Genocide and other Crimes Against Humanity.

Aguilar said Hao is a member of Militia ng Bayan under Rogelio Suson Command and served as the commanding officer of Larangan 2, Komiteng Probinsya in South Masbate.
He was also known as “Ka Manong,” the report said.
