Smashburger opens in Brooklyn

SMASHBURGER’S new restaurant in Brooklyn, New York.

SMASHBURGER has opened a store in Brooklyn, New York’s Kings Highway, marking the US expansion of the burger restaurant owned by Jollibee Foods Corp.

In a statement on Thursday, Jollibee said the Brooklyn store opening is said to be the brand’s biggest launch, exceeding sales and profit targets.

The brand is eyeing to launch 20 new stores this year in line with the Jollibee group’s expansion plans in North America.

Smashburger’s exposed kitchen puts the grill as the focal point of the store, allowing guests to see how the brand known for its Angus beef prepares its meals.

“Brooklyn’s creative energy and cultural diversity have made way for a spirited food scene, which is why we decided to open our newest, state-of-the-art concept in the dynamic borough,” Carl Bachmann, president of Smashburger, said in the statement.
