Celebs’ Holy Week plans upended by NCR’s return to ECQ

Before Metro Manila’s recent return to enhanced community quarantine, we asked some stars what their Holy Week plans were. Their answers:

KZ Tandingan

KZ Tandingan: I was hoping to fly to Mindanao to visit my family. But now, I will just stay at home here in Manila with my husband (singer-songwriter TJ Monterde). We will just get in touch with our loved ones online. Ganun na lang muna.

Mikee Quintos

Mikee Quintos: My eldest sister—we’re four girls—was supposed to get married on the 27th, but she decided to just move it to August, because of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. We didn’t have plans for Holy Week, because my family was anticipating this event. It’s sad, but it is what it is. This is for the safety of the guests and everyone. But the wedding will still push through, just on a different date. We’re praying.

Thea Tolentino

Thea Tolentino: I was supposed to work, I had to postpone and move that, too. Anyway, I didn’t really plan anything. My family and I will just spend Holy Week at home. And since there are already Masses online or via Zoom, so that’s probably what we’re going to do.
