Manila orders use of quarantine passes

All village heads in the city of Manila were directed to issue new quarantine passes to be used by residents during the week-long enhanced community quarantine.

In a memorandum, Manila Barangay Bureau Director Romeo Bagay ordered all village chairmen in 896 villages to issue quarantine passes to be used by those who will go out of their homes during the lockdown.

One quarantine pass will be issued for each family.

The city will adopt the odd-even scheme on quarantine passes.

Holders of passes with odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) can go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while those with even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 0) can go out on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, anytime from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Sunday, those with odd number passes can go out from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. only, while those with even number passes will be allowed outside from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

The city has reported 37,889 Covid-19 cases.
