San Pablo City COVID-19 watch: Virus hits toddler, 2 seniors, 13 others

LUCENA CITY – A one-year-old boy and two senior citizens contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in San Pablo City, local authorities reported on Friday.

The asymptomatic young patient, who had been exposed to a confirmed virus carrier, is on isolation in Barangay Del Remedio, said the city’s Anti-COVID-19 Task Force.

The two senior citizens, both females ages 82 and 78, are asymptomatic and are also under home isolation in Barangay Del Remedio and III-E, respectively.

The three new COVID-19 patients are among the 16 new COVID-19 cases in the city, bringing the current total active cases  to 109 as of March 19.

San Pablo, which is under modified general community quarantine, has logged a total of 1,392 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic was declared in March last year.

A total of 1, 238 patients have recovered while 45 others have died as of March 19.
