Filipino NBA prospect Kai Sotto has no time for his bashers.
In an Instagram post apparently directed to his bashers, the 7-foot-3 cager cited a verse from Filipino rapper Loonie.
“Kasi matagal kang darating sa paroroonan mo kung babatohin mo lahat ng aso na kakahol sayo,” Sotto posted on Saturday.
The line comes from the late British Winston Churchill — statesman, writer, painter and historian. He once said: “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.”
As a context, the 18-year-old Sotto and his handlers at the East West Private were heavily criticized for leaving Ignite and the G-League to join Gilas Pilipinas in the third window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
The event was supposed to be held in February but was postponed to June due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
